The 20/20 Vision

Founded by Tre' McLean, Delonza "Flip" Simmons, and Travis Smith  the 20/20 Youth Organization was created to become a safe and empowering community for local athletes and coaches. Having experienced personal challenges and obstacles as youth athletes, as well as seeing talented friends and family members struggle to find the balance between life and sports; the trio agreed that it was time for a change.

Using their first-hand childhood experiences and also their success as coaches and student-athletes the three created the "The 20/20 Youth League". The goal of the 20/20 League was to use basketball as a medium to teach valuable life lessons and skills for boys and girls in their community.

As a result of the creation of the youth league Tre', Flip, and Travis continued to emphasize the need to impact kids in their communities beyond the basketball court. After discussing their personal experiences growing up in Charleston and their love for sports the desire to create a brand that would be consistent and meaningful became a focal point of their meetings.

Since the idea of the youth league was still in its early stages, they figured why not create an organization that will bridge together local communities, athletes, and professions to use sports as a medium to emphasize education and teach valuable life lessons and skills.

Then the journey began....
